View from My Camera – Nolan

Nolan is a brand new Baby Program client.  I was fortunate to start his BProgram at the maternity session.  His mom is so beautiful and nice, so we had a great first session.  So these are actually from his second session.  How fun!!  And look how cute he is!!  Another fun part of this session is that both of his sets of grandparents came to watch the session and his aunt. We had a full house.  I wish I had turned around and taken a picture of the viewers.  Nolan should feel so loved.  Shouldn’t we all.

Alright, so I was going through my Blog and realized that I didn’t post the pictures of the maternity session (I actually didn’t post several sessions that I will upload very soon), so those are included as well.  Enjoy!!

View from My Camera – Renee

I was so excited to get an e-mail from Renee.  Her nephew was a Baby Program client and I met her at his first session.  Her husband was overseas in the Middle East for a while and now he is back.  And now…  they are moving to Canada!!  I was so excited that they drove in from Charleston for me to photograph their family and that they did this while in the middle of moving.  They are brave!!  Thanks family!  I had a great afternoon.

View from My Camera – Carson

Carson is now one!!  She is so adorable and I just love her family.  She wasn’t a baby program client, but I was thrilled to still be able to watch her grow through her first year.  Her parents have been very faithful clients and such wonderful people.  Her mom and dad’s laugh can light up a room and Carson is such a happy baby.  And…  they honored me by letting me help celebrate her birthday by having a session on the actual date.  Yippee for me!!!  Here are her pictures…

View from My Camera – Allison

I met Allison through Montessori school.  Her kids and my kids were/are in the same classes.  When Dewey was at Montessori, he and her son were great friends.  And now her daughter and Huey are in the same class.  Both kids are so cute and fun to be around.  Allison bought an auction item I had at the Montessori Auction this year.  I was so excited that they bought it and we had so much fun at Furman.  Here are some pictures from their session…

Creating the House – Paint and Tile

For those of you watching our house progress, sorry for the delay in posting.  It has been a while and a lot has happened.  Although…  work has kind of stopped around here now.  I have learned so much in this house building process.  Our recent learning topic is that at the end of construction, progress really depends on one another.  In the middle, many people could be working on many things.  But now, our house is on hold until the counter tops go in.  Then the tile can be finished, electrical, plumbing, floors, etc.  But not until the counters go in.  And of course, that was on hold until the cabinets came in which were a little late.  But, spirits are still high…  ;)  I need to take some new pictures, but this is basically where we are.

Picture of when they started painting the interior.  They put plastic on all of the windows and sprayed everything.  It was very efficient, but felt very claustrophobic.  The story of my life!!  ;)

Here is the painted hallway with the door into the utility room.  Also we painted the wall on the left of the guest room black.  The opposite wall will have wallpaper on it…  more later!  ;)

Here is before and after of our bedroom.  Yep, it is green!!

Here are some pictures of the master bathroom…  the main walls are a soft grey and the toilet room is a darker grey.  Also, here is a picture of the tile floors going in.

Here is the before and after of the master bath shower…

Picking out the cabinet stain…

The toilets and sinks were delivered!!!!

OK, so we have been going back and forth over the outside trim/siding color.  We were planning on painting it the current color, but we really wanted a change.  But, if we changed the addition siding color then we would need to change the existing siding color.  One thing led to another and now we have changed the color.  It is actually really great because the existing space needed to be painted.  We just weren’t originally planning on doing it now!!  Aaaahhhh, construction…  ;)

The first picture is of our paint swatches.  This is the dark color and middle color…  we went with dark!  And then the last picture is of the underside of the soffet of the existing space.  You can see the lighter color above the garage which is all dark now.

Best friends!!!
