View from My Camera – Griffin

Griffin is a Baby Program client and turned a year a couple of weeks ago.  Yay for him, but boo for me!!  ;)  I just love spending time with him and his mom.  I haven’t had a chance to meet his dad yet because he works like crazy as a resident.  But, promises are made that I will meet him very soon for family pictures.  I can’t wait.  And you know the other great news??…  there is another baby due this year.  I am so very, very excited to meet this baby too.  Happy Birthday Griffin.

Creating the House…

Here are new pictures from the exciting renovation.  Everything is going really well, even though my nerves are on edge!  The workers “broke into” our existing house last week.  Which is exciting and stressful at the same time.  They are trying to make it as smooth a transition as possible for me, but it is still a little crazy around here.  It is strange to think that we are getting close to the end.  A ton still has to happen, but I can’t believe we have made it to this point.  Alright, alright…  here are the pictures…

Before and After bathtub…

Before I showed pictures looking from the existing to the addition.  Here is the same view with all of the windows and doors in.  We are now “dried in” or at least I think that is how you say it!!  ;)

So, Friday they built a wall in our breakfast area and part of the den so that they could support the ceiling while they worked on the headers for the walkthrough into the sunroom.  This is when the hyperventilation started!!  Starting to feel a little claustrophobic.  Fortunately the black plastic has been changed to a more translucent version.  Louie fell asleep on the couch on Sunday after a fun lunch at the park with friends.  I don’t think she has ever done that before.  She was exhausted!!

Here is the other side of the black curtains with new headers and the start to the ceiling joists for the sunroom.

This pictures was taken on Sunday before they tore out these glass doors on Monday.

View of the outside of the house with all of the doors and windows.

Shadow puppets…

On Monday they extended our interior wall of studs and plastic to reach the entire width of the den.  They left us a path through so that we could get in and out of the wall easily.  It is weird to me that Louie is standing on the carpet in our den.  Weird!!  Here is the start of the demolition to the existing space.  Look!  No doors!!

Watch the Utility Room window.  Now you see it…

Now you don’t!  Today they finished removing the wall and window into the Utility Room so that we will have a door there to access the room from both sides.  Yay!!!

Tomorrow, they are going to remove the windows from the current master bedroom and sheetrock them over on the existing side.  Sometime this week the HVAC people will start and the electricians will be back.  I think the workers are going to try to finish all of the framing this week so that the sheetrock people can come in next week.  I think…  Here are pictures of the front and back of these windows.  One of these windows will move to the left side of the room so that the room will have two windows when this is all over.

View from My Camera – Emerson

Emerson was a Baby Program client, but has grown up!!!  We got together again for her 18 month pictures.  She is so cute…  and fast!!  Her mom and I ran around after her at Furman.  It was so pretty there and we had a great time.  I just love her mom and they are expecting their second baby in the next couple of months.  I can’t wait to see Emerson and the new little one together.  Cute fact about Emme – for her sessions she has to be holding something.  We can switch it out, but it is always something.  I just think it is so cute!!!
