View from My Camera – Apr 28 (Micah)

Our best friends had their third baby in February.  I am finally posting images from his quick newborn session.  We squeezed him in here before his nap.  And we were able to photograph him in an outfit that his Daddy wore at this age.  We are so excited that he is here.  He makes a great addition to an already great family.

View from My Camera – Apr 27 (Elliot)

I have known Elliot’s parents for 8 years.  We met his mom when we lived in Charleston.  And when we found out that they were pregnant, we were so excited.  His mom called me and said, “I’m pregnant.  I need to schedule an appointment for pictures!!!”  I think she was excited about these pictures her entire pregnancy and maybe before them.  And I was honored to be able to photograph them.  They are so in love with Elliot.  He is a very lucky little boy.

View from My Camera – Apr 24 (Emerson)

Emerson is a new Baby Program client and she is beautiful.  Her skin is flawless.  She was a lot of fun to photograph.  Her Mom and Dad prayed for her arrival for a very long time.  She is a very loved little girl.  And I am so excited to watch her grow.  Her mom is a friend of mine and we were all so excited for her arrival.  Thank you for letting me photograph your blessing.

Here are more pictures from our trip to DC.  After a stellar trip to the White House, we told the kids they could each pick a “treat” for the next day.  The girls chose to ride on the Merry Go Round on the Mall.  Then, we walked all the way to the Lincoln Memorial.  That was a long walk for our three.  They were troopers.  Dewey set a “goal” to run the whole way next to the Reflecting Pool.  Louie joined him on the way back.  It was a great day.

View from My Camera – Apr 9

The reason we went to DC was to visit Joe’s best friend from Law School, David.  David is currently a Fellow in the White House and we haven’t seen him in a while.  He was very kind to give us a tour of the West Wing Thursday night.  We were all so excited.  We were able to see the Oval Office, Roosevelt Room, Cabinet Room, Mess Hall, Third Floor offices, Press Room, etc.  I am sure that I misnamed everything!  Dewey made it his mission to speak to every Secret Service agent and asked several questions.  I told him that he was very brave.  I was so proud of all of them.  Here are some of our pictures.  Of course, I didn’t have a flash, but they hold many wonderful memories for us all.  We had the best time!!!

Here we are (OK, I can’t remember the name) but standing on the passageway between the Oval Office and the Presidents Quarters (I think).  If you actually saw it, you would recognize it.  The Washington Monument is in the back and the Oval Office is behind them to the right.  090410f

Now we are in the Press Room.  It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be.  Oh, and I was only able to photograph in certain places.  I think they only allow you to photograph areas that are already photographed by non White House staff.
