Nolan is one years old!!!  We have celebrated his birth for a year now and it has been a great year.  Nolan is a sweet little boy with beautiful blue eyes.  And I adore his parents.  His mom’s father is a photographer so she is used to the crazy antics of an artist trying to get the perfect shot.  We drove all over Furman and had a great time.  Thanks for a fun afternoon.

Here are some pictures from the session.  The last 4 are one of my favorite series I have taken.  Often you don’t know what you have until you look through your pictures and that is the way it was with this session.  I just love how Nolan and Rocky look just alike!!!  Priceless.

Well, the girls have been sick this weekend, so we weren’t able to go to church this morning.  So, I thought that it would be a great time to practice one of my “assignments” – lighting.  I bribed Huey to pose for me while I tested out different reflectors.  And I also wanted to take more pictures in front of the canvas that I purchased last Fall.  She did a great job!!  It helps to have a willingly (well mostly willing) model.

OK, this post is for the grandparents!  Today was our 11th anniversary!  But, I don’t have a post about that.  Today was also Louie’s first haircut.  Yes, she is over 2 and hasn’t had her hair cut until now.  And Huey hadn’t had her hair cut in over a year.  So, it was a big day for both of them.  Here are some before and after pictures.  And a picture of the two of them getting their hair washed.  Both of them were very, very unrelaxed!!!  

I am so excited to announce that there is a new member of the Susan Brewer Photography team.  Many of you are included on my team because of the many referrals you send me, or the hours you spend with me talking about photography, or the ideas you consistently bring my way, or just by gracing me with the ability to photograph you and your family.  But, a couple of weeks ago I was given the opportunity to include someone officially as my Marketing Assistant.  Kara is the mother of one of my Baby Program babies and e-mailed me wanting to help me in my business.  I was floored and humbled and just a little bit excited !!!  ;)  So after hours of brainstorming, we decided that the best use of her talents was to help me with marketing.  So, if you have any auctions you want us to be a part of, or any stores that need artwork, or just any marketing ideas, please contact me and Kara.  Her e-mail address is kara@susanbrewerphotography.com.  Yippee!!!!!

Hampton is a new Baby Program client.  I have been so excited about photographing him because his mom contacted me early in the Fall and made an appointment.  I eagerly awaited his arrival.  And one of the best things about Hampton is that he has introduced me to a new friend – his mom.  In the short time I have known her, she has become so supportive of me and my business.  I am so thankful to her.  This is going to be a fun year!!
